SUGAR GROVE, Illinois – In a battle that came down to the very last stroke, senior Monica Vaughn highlighted the final day of stroke play at the 2017 NCAA Division I National Championships as the individual medalist and NCAA champion.
Vaughn becomes the sixth all-time Sun Devil to earn an individual championship, ASU now with a new record to their credit, not only for most team national titles but also most individual national titles. Azahara Munoz was the last Sun Devil to win an individual NCAA title (2008).
"I can't even describe how I'm feeling right now," said Vaughn.
