TEMPE – Samantha Noennig set the NCAA lead in the women's shot put, and Bianca Tinoco and Tommi Hintnaus both moved into the top-10 in Sun Devil history in their respective events Saturday on the final day of the 40th Sun Angel Classic.
"I've always enjoyed the Sun Angel Classic and how it involves the community," director of track and field Greg Kraft said. "I think tonight was another great display of that and a great reflection of how our sport can bring the community together."
Noennig didn't take long to jump into the collegiate lead, taking the top spot with her fifth throw of the day and her fifth throw of the season in the shot put.
