TEMPE, Ariz. – Sun Devil Athletics announced on Tuesday a groundbreaking new partnership with Gila River Hotels & Casinos, which operates three Arizona hotel & casino properties owned by the Gila River Indian Community including Wild Horse Pass, Lone Butte and Vee Quiva. This new partnership begins in August 2018.
The five-year agreement delivers incredible value to the university by investing in Arizona State's Division I athletics while also providing scholarship opportunities for Gila River Indian Community members, as well as Gila River Hotels & Casinos' team members. The partnership is the first of its kind to support all of Sun Devil Athletics' programs, including both male and female sports, while also granting scholarships and educational assistance to current and future students.
