STANFORD, Calif. – Despite a game-high 21 points from Sophie Brunner, the No. 18 Arizona State women's basketball team was not able to overcome No. 10 Stanford on its home floor as the Sun Devils dropped a 66-56 decision on Sunday.
After shooting 32 percent in a win at Cal on Friday night, the Sun Devils (14-5, 5-3 Pac-12) fared no better on Sunday, connecting on only 29 percent of their shots against the Cardinal. Stanford (17-3, 7-1) shot 46 percent and became only the second team (Maryland) to outrebound the Sun Devils this season as it was plus-eight on the boards (37-29).
