TEMPE, Ariz.—Arizona State wrestling’s incoming freshman class earned another top accolade on Tuesday when Division 1 College Wrestling.Net named the Sun Devil squad the No. 1 recruiting class.
D1CW named top-ranked Anthony Valencia (Bellflower, Calif.), the top recruit. Valencia’s brother, Zahid Valencia (Bellflower, Calif.), Tanner Hall (Meridian, Idaho), Lance Benick (Fridley, Minn.), Josh Shields (Murrysville, Pa.), and Josh Maruca (Murrysville, Pa.) were also listed.
The last time the Sun Devils were ranked by D1CW was at No. 11 in 2010.
