Few players in the Pac-12 are more physically imposing than Arizona State freshman guard Lungentz Dort. He has never played football but looks like he would be as at home on the gridiron as he is on the hardwood.
Opponents can't help but notice. Fans certainly notice. Referees acknowledge it as well, in a sometimes disheartening way. One of Dort's strengths is his ability to drive to the basket. If he doesn't score, he can draw the foul, but all too often, the referee sees it the other way.
"I have referees tell me all the time, I'm strong, I can take it," Dort said of the contact on his way to the basket.
