BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) Michael Eubank threw for a career-high 372 yards and four touchdowns as Samford opened the season with a 45-16 win over Central Arkansas on Thursday night.
Eubank, an Arizona State transfer, had completed 17 of 30 attempts for 344 yards after three quarters.
Kelvin McKnight pulled in six passes for 157 yards and one touchdown. Denzel Williams rushed for 91 yards and another score.
Central Arkansas took an early lead when Dominique Thomas scored on a 29-yard run midway in the first quarter.
