SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Sun Devil triathlon successfully defended its West Region crown by winning the 2023 West Region National Qualifier on Saturday morning at Fellows Lake. Freshman Sidney Clement led the team by securing the individual title for her first collegiate victory.
Arizona State had three of the top six finishers in the race, and all five scorers placed in the top 16. In total, eight Sun Devils finished in the top 25.
Clement completed the race in one hour, three minutes, and 39 seconds, and she was at the front of the pack the entire day after coming out of the lake in fourth with a swim of 10:11.
