INDIANAPOLIS – Arizona State women's swim and dive completed their first day of competition at the NCAA championships with a distance event as well as their first relay.
"Our inexperience showed this morning, however I thought we gave good effort," said head coach Bob Bowman. "Stepping up to this level is a huge challenge and any minor mistake costs you scoring positions. Tomorrow I'm looking forward to more focused performances and better scoring opportunities."
Senior Kat Simonovic finished the 500 free prelim in 4:44.70 while Kendall Dawson finished four spots later in 4:44.
