The preseason forecasts for Arizona State football are not great, and that probably was to be expected. Most publications slot the Sun Devils near the bottom of the Pac-12 South, but at the moment this might be the least of worries for first-year coach Herm Edwards.
Next week, Edwards will play in the 29th American Century Championship, a made-for-TV celebrity golf tournament at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline, Nev. This will mark the 13th time Edwards has participated in the event – and considering he’s never finished better than 65th, odds makers have made him a 2000/1 shot to win.
