Hard to believe, but Saturday's showdown between Arizona State and Texas A&M is the first between the universities. That's not the case for the head coaches.
ASU's Todd Graham and Texas A&M's Kevin Sumlin have history. They first battled in Conference USA – Graham at Tulsa and Sumlin at Houston -- and lately have battled on the recruiting trail.
In July, Sumlin caused a minor stir when he told supporters that Graham would be excited to come to Houston given Texas A&M had gone into Arizona the past two years and snatched the state's top prospects (quarterback Kyle Allen in 2014 and receiver Christian Kirk in 2015).
