ASU's first practice moved to Payson's Rumsey Park

PAYSON – On the first practice day of the season, Arizona State called an audible.

Because of Tuesday night showers and wet conditions at Camp Tontozona, the Sun Devils moved Wednesday's first practice to Rumsey Park in Payson. They are scheduled to practice from 8:30 to 11:45 a.m., although the veterans could be dismissed earlier.

Unlike last year, ASU enters coach Todd Graham's fifth season with low expectations. Conference media slotted the Sun Devils fifth in the Pac-12 preseason media poll. This is the first time under Graham the team has started practice at Tontozona. Usually, the Sun Devils make the 100-mile trip a week or so into camp.
