Mike Bercovici is reflecting on his true freshman season at Arizona State.
He was the backup quarterback behind Brock Osweiler, the reality of which hit home in the second game of 2011, a wild blackout debut against nationally ranked Missouri.
Bercovici remembers "how big my eyes were" that night before 70,000 at Sun Devil Stadium. "I'm like shoot, I'm one snap away from being in the show," a job that perhaps fortunately wasn't thrust upon him (Osweiler threw the game-winning pass in overtime).
