The ideas here are in no particular order. How did I arrive at these ideas? I just looked at the current structure, asked how things could be better, and considered whether the idea was capable of being implemented or not. For example, I don’t like the wild-card game. So an idea to improve the postseason might be to either scrap the wild-card game entirely and go back to one wild card (or four division winners per league!) but that is simply not going to happen, as there is too much money at stake. Another idea might be to make it a best-of-three series, but that would not be capable of being implemented on a home-and-home set up, as it would either lead to an insane travel schedule which the players would never go for, or it would take too long and put the teams who won their divisions at a major rust disadvantage.
