Snake Bytes 5/25: Pirates Shell Diamondbacks

Shelby Miller had another poor outing and the Pirates relievers maintained their tradition of hitting batters as Pittsburgh routed the visiting Diamondbacks 12-1.

Shelby Miller's recent run of finding success despite his lack of control was brought to an end on Tuesday. Despite his struggles, and likely to save the bullpen some stress, he still completed five frames, allowing six runs on eight hits and four walks while striking out only three. Things got uglier still, late in the game, when Pittsburgh reliever Arquimedes Caminero hit Jean Segura in the helmet with a 96-mph fastball. Segura left the game under his own power, but is expected to head to the 7-day concussion DL.
