He was eligible to be activated off the disabled list on Tuesday, but the Diamondbacks expect to have outfielder David Peralta back in the lineup soon enough. He’s getting closer and closer, they say, to recovering from an irritated wrist.
Peralta hit in the batting cage Friday and will take batting practice with his teammates this weekend before getting in some action during extended spring-training games next week. If all goes well between now and then, he’ll begin his extended spring stint on Wednesday.
“I feel real good. I feel strong and that’s what we’re looking for,” Peralta said.
