Miller pulled in fifth with undisclosed injury

PHOENIX -- D-backs starter Shelby Miller was removed from Sunday's game against the Dodgers at Chase Field after facing the first two batters of the fifth inning. The club announced that he was under evaluation.

The right-hander had sailed through the opening four innings without allowing a run and had a 2-0 lead when he walked Joc Pederson to open the fifth. D-backs pitching coach Rob Butcher went to the mound as infielders gathered to chat with Miller.

After allowing Corey Seager's double off the center-field wall, which scored two runs, manager Torey Lovullo brought the D-backs' trainer to the mound, and after a short discussion, removed Miller.
