The D-backs reassigned outfielder Oswaldo Arcia, right-hander Erik Davis, left-hander Brian Matusz and catcher Josh Thole to Minor League camp Friday, leaving Arizona with 40 players in big league camp at Salt River Fields.
Arcia had been pacing the D-backs -- his fifth team in the past calendar year -- with four home runs in Spring Training, but he was batting just .200 with a .260 on-base percentage. The 25-year-old is a career .235 hitter with 44 homers and 131 RBIs over four Major League seasons.
