The Diamondbacks pushed across the tying run in the top of the ninth and right-hander Archie Bradley worked out of a jam in the bottom of the inning, forcing extra innings in the series finale at Citizens Bank Park on Sunday.
Gregor Blanco pulled an RBI single through the right side to drive in Nick Ahmed with the game-tying run off Phillies closer Hector Neris. Ahmed had walked to lead off the inning then moved to third on David Peralta’s single to right.
In the bottom of the inning, the Phillies collected a pair of singles off Bradley, who struck out Tommy Joseph before fighting through a 10-pitch at-bat to induce a pop out from Maikel Franco.
