Diamondbacks sign minor leaguer Andrés Chaparro

On November 22nd, the Arizona Diamondbacks signed free agent Andrés Chaparro to Triple-A, according to Jon Heyman at the New York Post.

Chaparro, age 24, has spent seven seasons in the Yankees minor league system. He began his journey at 17 years old, back in 2016, playing rookie ball in New York.

This past season in Triple-A, Chaparro posted a.247 batting average, hit 25 home runs, and collected 89 RBIs.

It was one of two 20-home-run seasons that Chaparro has had in the minor leagues.

With the SWB RailRiders in Triple-A, Andrés saw time at first base and third base and occasionally filled the role of a designated hitter.
