Diamondbacks outside the top-10 in ESPN’s 2024 Power Rankings

Only a couple minutes after the 2023 season came to an end, with the Texas Rangers holding off the Arizona Diamondbacks to claim their first World Series championship in franchise history, ESPN released their “way-to-early” power rankings for next season.

At the top of the list, to no surprise, are the Atlanta Braves, who have won the NL East for six straight years and are coming off back-to-back 100-win seasons.

If it were not for a couple of postseason collapses, it would appear that the Braves have dominated the MLB since 2021.

Speaking of the Texas Rangers, they were placed second on the list as they will keep almost all of their stars for at least another year.
