Diamondbacks and OF AJ Pollock Agree to Deal that Covers 2016 and 2017 Season

If you thought today would end with signing Tyler Clippard, you're wrong.

The Diamondbacks are not done signing players to two-year deals, as they've signed AJ Pollock for $10.25M over the next two years. That could wind up being a bargain for the Diamondbacks, because I believe Pollock would have gotten a lot more than that if he had another All-Star season in 2016. Over 3 years, I believed that Pollock would bank $20M from the arbitration process and $11M for the first two years. Assuming that they would have settled around $3.725M midpoint, 2017 will play Pollock $6.
