Following Eduardo Rodriguez’s move to the IL, Kerry Miller at BR suggested that Arizona should pursue 2021 All-Star pitcher Freddy Peralta. In exchange, the Brewers would receive the Diamondbacks’ #1 prospect, Jordan Lawlar.
Miller noted that Lawlar did not secure a spot in the Diamondbacks‘ Opening Day lineup, despite being on their postseason roster last year. Instead, Arizona seems inclined to opt for Blaze Alexander as a backup shortstop behind Geraldo Perdomo.
