Patrick Corbin Enjoys a Successful Rehab Outing

The rotation of the Arizona Diamondbacks has some good news on the way. Left-hander Patrick Corbin, an All-Star in 2013, had a solid rehab outing Friday night for the Double A Mobile Bay Bears. He allowed one run on four hits, walking two and striking out five in six innings of work. This was reported on by Nick Piecoro at azcentral.

Corbin’s fastball topped out at 94 MPH, just about where his pre-injury velocity was. Since going on a rehab assignment June 8th, Corbin has worked every sixth day. Arizona manager Chip Hale indicated he wasn’t sure if he would go go back to the more accustomed every fifth day spot yet.
