Recap: LF David Peralta's two-run triple capped a three-run sixth inning for the Diamondbacks, who got seven strong innings from RHP Jeremy Hellickson to beat the Colorado Rockies 8-1 on Chase Field on Thursday night.
Trailing 1-0 entering the bottom of the sixth, the Diamondbacks got a solo homer from CF A.J. Pollock, who launched the second of back-to-back curveballs from Rockies LHP Chris Rusin out to left-center field for his 10th home run of the season.
With two out, the Diamondbacks got a rare gift from Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado, who booted a ground ball for an inning-extending error, then took immediately capitalized when Peralta smoked a Rusin fastball into the right-field corner.
