Jack McBain’s shot confirmed that the Arizona Coyotes were moving on from the post trade deadline blues.
With Friday’s lopsided result in the past, the Coyotes were able to regroup and hang tight with the New Jersey Devils. McBain’s goal with two minutes remaining sent the Coyotes to overtime where Nico Hischier recovered the game for the Devils as the Coyotes fell 5-4.
Throughout the season the Devils have been a dangerous force consisting of youth and skill that has made the team the third best in the league. Sunday’s fast-paced game showed the Devils' capabilities and the Coyotes (21-32-10) were engaged in a high-flying game on both ends.
