GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The tributes for Arizona Coyotes captain Shane Doan came before the season finale in print, online, over the airways, on the big screen inside Gila River Arena.
Shortly after hopping the wall for his final shift of the 2016-17 season -- maybe ever -- Doan hugged current teammates and former teammate Martin Hanzal. Then he took a microphone and thanked the crowd for sticking with the team through a difficult season.
