D.J. Humphries made a seamless transition from right tackle to left last week and was one of the few bright spots for the Cardinals in their loss to the Falcons.
Yet while complimenting Humphries this week, offensive coordinator/line coach Harold Goodwin said Humphries is still “Knee Deep,” a nickname bestowed upon Humphries more than a year ago by coach Bruce Arians, who said a foot in the rear wasn’t enough to motivate the young offensive lineman.
“D.J. is a guy you are going to stay and be on,” Goodwin said.
Upon hearing of Goodwin’s comment, Humphries smiled, which is his reaction to most things.
