For a second straight year, the Cardinals have mined their tryout players at rookie minicamp for a couple of worthy signings.
After three days of work over the weekend, the Cards decided to sign a pair of undrafted rookies – Idaho running back
and Fayetteville State wide receiver Chris Hubert. Penny is a bigger back at 6-foot-2 and 234 pounds, and Hubert is a slot receiver at 5-9, 170.
Penny had 1,559 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns on 245 carries for Idaho last season. Hubert had 71 catches for 862 yards and 13 touchdowns.
