Arizona Cardinals defense: 3 pressing questions as players report to training camp

Related Topics: Bruce Arians, Tony Jefferson

In style, the Cardinals' defense likely won’t look different this year than it did in four previous seasons under coach Bruce Arians.

The Cardinals will devote whatever resources required to hit quarterbacks and play as much man-to-man pass coverage as any other team in the NFL.

From a personnel standpoint, however, the defense will look considerably different than it did in 2016.

Five starters left via free agency, including two of the better players in the NFL at their positions last year: tackle Calais Campbell and safety Tony Jefferson.

A sixth starter, inside linebacker Deone Bucannon, could miss the start of the season after undergoing ankle surgery this summer.
