BOONE, N.C. –– Appalachian State University women's track and field standout runner Tristin Van Ord has been named to the CoSIDA Academic all-District III first team for her performance on the track and in the classroom.
Van Ord, a Chapel Hill, N.C. native, carries a 3.91 cumulative grade-point-average in the major of sustainable development. With her nomination to the first team, Van Ord is now eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-American status.
Currently, Van Ord is preparing to run the 10,000-meters and 5,000-meters at the NCAA East Region Preliminaries in Lexington, Ky.
