BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State’s Barrett Burns (Woodstock, Ga.), Tyson Fernandez (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.), and Bentlee Critcher (Daytona Beach, Fla) will play in the Tropical Bowl on Sunday (Jan. 15) at 9 a.m. in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The second annual all-star game showcases the top college football seniors to NFL.
Burns, Fernandez, and Critcher were all key pieces in App’s 2016 Sun Belt Conference championship run, back-to-back bowl wins and 10-win seasons (2015 & 2016), and a 27-5 record dating back to the middle of 2014.
Burns leaves App as one of the top tight ends in program history, finishing his career with 14 touchdowns receptions and 68 career receptions.
