NCAA Wrestling Allocations, Rankings/RPI Released

BOONE, N.C. — The Southern Conference received 19 qualifier allocations for the 2017 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championship, the NCAA announced on Thursday as Appalachian State University wrestling saw six wrestlers earn spots in one or both the latest coaches’ panel and Rating Percentage Index (RPI).

The final rankings will be tools used as part of the selection process to determine the qualifiers for the 2017 NCAA Championships, which will take place March 16-18 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo. The NCAA allocated the SoCon four qualifiers at heavyweight, three each at 125 and 184 pounds, two each at 149 and 157 and one each in the remaining weight classes.
