SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Appalachian State University men’s tennis (4-5) dealt Wofford (8-4) a 6-1 loss in Spartanburg at the Reeves Tennis Center on Saturday.
App hands Wofford its first home loss of the season and snaps the Terriers’ four-match win streak. App State captured two of three doubles matches and five of six singles points.
The Mountaineers also snap their four-match skid in the process.
"This was a great win for us on the road against a very good Wofford team,” said head coach Bob Lake. “Capturing the doubles point was key for us in getting off to a good start, and we certainly carried that momentum into singles.
