Men's Golf Places 13th at Irish Creek Inter.

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Appalachian State University men's golf completed the first two rounds of the Irish Creek Intercollegiate on Saturday at The Club at Irish Creek. The Mountaineers shot 603 as a team and sit in a tie for 14th place.

Kennesaw State leads the tournament at 567 followed by Wake Forest at 568 and VCU at 573.

Patrick Moriarty lead the Apps with a low round of 72 in round two after shooting 76 in round one. Moriarty is tied for 25th going into Sunday's final round.

Two strokes behind Moriarty, Jake Smith carded a 149 over two rounds with a 72 in round one and 77 in round two.
