NEW ORLEANS – Appalachian State University baseball's recent graduate Sean Mason will receive one of the Sun Belt Conference's Postgraduate Scholarships, the conference announced on Monday.
Chosen by the Sun Belt's 12 Faculty Athletic Representatives, select student-athletes who have demonstrated fine academic achievement will receive a $3,000 scholarship to be used toward continuing his or her education.
“Sean is very deserving of this recognition,” head baseball coach Kermit Smith said. “He has dedicated a lot of time over his college career to being involved with the Sun Belt Conference while representing App State's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
