Huus Places Sixth As Men's Golf Posts Strong Finish

BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. — With a 3-under 69 from sixth-place finisher highlighting a stellar final round from the entire team, App State Men's Golf placed eighth in a 16-team field Tuesday at the Mountaineer Invitational hosted by West Virginia.

Alex Martin and Sverrir Haraldsson had 1-under 71s in the final round, while Addison Beam and Colin Browning posted even-par 72s as the Mountaineers recorded a 5-under 283 — the third-best final-round score at the Pete Dye Golf Club.

Huus, who opened the tournament with a hole-out eagle from the fairway, tied for sixth with a 3-under total of 213 thanks to rounds of 73, 71 and 69.
