BOONE, N.C. — After a week of preseason training and practices, Appalachian State University field hockey will head to Winston-Salem, N.C. for a 7 p.m. exhibition matchup against Wake Forest on Friday at Kentner Stadium.
The second exhibition match will be on Sunday, Aug. 20 as Appalachian will host Davidson at Brandon & Erica Adcock Field with a 10 a.m. start.
The Mountaineers are preparing for the season opener on Aug. 25 at La Salle in Philadelphia as head coach Meghan Dawson and assistant coach Kerry Kiddo enter their third season with the program.
