BOONE, N.C.- Appalachian State University women's tennis (3-8) fell down early after doubles, but couldn't come back in a narrow 4-3 setback to Lipscomb (2-7) on Friday at the Deer Valley Racquet Club.
Appalachian would fall in doubles play to the Bison because of a default. It was a valient effort by the Apps in singles play where three of the six matches went into three sets.
Heidi Swope was in the No. 1 slot for the Mountaineers for the fourth time this season, but fell to Viktoriya Dzyuba, 6-1, 6-1.
