App State Dominates Final Three Quarters in Sun Belt Win

BOONE, N.C. — A chilly night and even colder start didn't stop App State from surging to a 42-17 home win against Georgia State in a nationally televised game Wednesday night on ESPN2.

Using a physical running game and a havoc-wreaking defense that forced two key turnovers, the Mountaineers (4-2, 2-2) went on a 42-3 run after falling behind 14-0 by allowing touchdowns on the Panthers' first two possessions.

Camerun Peoples returned from an injury to rush for 168 yards and two touchdowns as the Mountaineers totaled 379 rushing yards on a whopping 62 attempts.
