PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s basketball honors for the fifth week of the college basketball season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
DaQuan Jeffries – Tulsa – Sr. – G/F – Edmond, Okla.
Jeffries paced the Golden Hurricane to a 2-0 week with a pair of wins over Big 12 foes Oklahoma State and No. 16/15 Kansas State. The senior averaged 12.0 points and 4.0 rebounds, along with a block, steal and assist per game. He scored nine of his game-high 20 points in the final 61 seconds to help Tulsa past OSU, 74-71.
