Tom Herman Contract: Latest News and Rumors on Negotiations with Houston

Tom Herman has helped propel the University of Houston into the national spotlight ever since he came on as head football coach, and the school is reportedly interested in keeping him with the program with a new contract.

According to the Houston Chronicle's Joseph Duarte, Houston athletic director Hunter Yurachek said he has had “very general conversations” with university officials about offering Herman a new deal.

In November 2015, the school offered Herman a raise of $3 million annually less than one year after he accepted the head coaching gig.
