ESPN Network’s Paul Finebaum had the hottest of hot takes on Alabama when he appeared on “The Opening Drive” on WJOX-FM in Birmingham on Monday morning: He said the Tide has underachieved under Nick Saban.
Finebaum was talking about the expectations for the Crimson Tide heading into 2017 when he made a strong statement about its past.
“I just kind of shook my head when thinking about the talent on this team, what we’ll see go in the draft on Thursday night and what we’ve seen over the last 10 years,” Finebaum said on the show. “It’s amazing to say, but I think Alabama may have actually underachieved in winning only four of the last eight national titles.
