When Nick Saban first talked about hiring Dan Werner in March, he made a joke, referencing Alabama's issues defending the Ole Miss offense led by Werner in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
"Do I need to tell our fans or anybody on our staff the issues that we've had with their offense that last couple of years?" Saban said.
Werner was the Rebels' co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2012 until being fired in December. Now, he's helping the Crimson Tide behind the scenes as an offensive analyst -- and helping the Tide prepare for Saturday's matchup against his former team.
