Former Alabama DL Rudy Griffin accepts new coaching job in Georgia

Former Alabama defensive lineman, Rudy Griffin announced he accepted the defensive line coaching job at Lowndes High School Friday via Twitter.

Griffin played for Alabama from 2003 to 2005. He started several games as a junior and senior for the Crimson Tide. He finished his career in Tuscaloosa with 33 total tackles, two fumbles and one interception.

This new job opportunity puts Griffin back in his home state of Georgia, which is one of the many reasons Griffin was attracted to the job.

“Being from the state of Georgia is always going to be a big part of it because it is my home state but not only that,” Griffin said.
