Alabama Women’s Basketball team (17-12, 5-11 SEC) will make their debut in the 2017 SEC Tournament on March 1st in the first round. The Lady Crimson Tide enter as a No. 12 seed and will face the No. 13 seed Vanderbilt Commodores.
This will be the second meeting this season between both teams. Alabama lost 87-80 when they traveled to Nashville last month.
Junior guards Meoshonti Knight and Hannah Cook lead the offense averaging 11 points a game. Alabama will need both juniors to be on pace if they expect to win against the Commodores and Hannah Cook will need to light up the scoreboard from 3-point range where she is 33 percent accurate.
