Alabama Softball won its 31st game of the season and gave head coach Patrick Murphy his 1000th career win. Sydney Littlejohn pitched a complete game, earning her the win and improving her season record to 12-1.
In the top of the first, Kent State’s Maddy Grimm knocked a RBI single to put Alabama behind 0-1. Alabama responded in the bottom of the inning with a two-run RBI double to make it 2-1 Alabama. The Crimson Tide extended its lead to 3-1 thanks to a Demi Turner RBI single.
Kent State scored in the top of the third off a two-run home run to left.
