After an offseason of speculation about trade destinations for AJ McCarron, the former Alabama quarterback is facing another season as the backup for Andy Dalton with the Cincinnati Bengals. He'd like to go where he'd have a better opportunity to play, but McCarron isn't demanding a trade and is participating in Phase 1 of Cincinnati's offseason program, which is voluntary.
"It is what it is," McCarron told reporters on Monday in the Bengals' locker room. "If I am back here, I'll be the best guy I can be and best teammate, best backup for Andy and help him in whatever way I can.
