Home From China

Hello to all.  I haven't submitted a post for over a month, but I have a legit excuse.  My wife and I were in China adopting our 16-month old daughter.

Interestingly enough, we got her on January 9th, 2012.  That day will live in infamy for Alabama fans as long as we live, but it has much more meaning to this 'Bama fan.  As Nick Saban hoisted the BCS crystal ball in New Orleans that represented 'Bama's 14th national championship we were hoisting our first child for the first time.

I had no idea who won until we returned to the hotel in Shanghai -- now more appropriately named ShangTide.  I couldn't bear to look at the score so I had my wife look at my phone and tell me the news.  Obviously, the news was fantastic.

The game actually occurred at 9:30 A.M. China time on January 10th.  A great morning, indeed.

I hope to get back to normal soon and will post the same nonsense you've become accustomed.  I'm not sure how many of you read the blog out there, but I thank those of you who take the time to do so.

I don't know about you, but I'm ready for championship number 15.  A 'Bama fan is never satisfied, eh?

Have a great 2012 and Roll Tide.
