It was an intense afternoon of golf as Alabama’s Emma Talley held off Arkansas’ Gabby Lopez and Duke’s Leona Maguire to win the Individual NCAA Women’s Golf National Championship today.
Emma Talley posted a three under par 69 and then had to watch as Gabby Lopez and Leona Maguire finished up. The entire Alabama Women’s Golf team watched with her as the drama played out on Monday afternoon.
Arkansas’ Gabby Lopez was very aggressive all day until the 17th hole. On the 17th Lopez played it safe and shot for the left of the green instead of going for the flag on her second shot.
